Mindful Messages

  • Zero Point Yoga Ocean Grove Studio 41 Smithton Grove Ocean Grove Australia (map)

This workshop is for anyone wanting a little break from the mundane life.

People seeking guidance and feeling a little lost, and looking for some answers.

Anyone wanting to connect with themselves on a deeper level and also wanting to connect with others.

Those who are interested in Art creation and wanting to find out more about what Art therapy may

entail. People who love sound journeys, sound bathing, and sound healing because this event is

something special, the tools we use have been called “very unique, and go together like a blissful

dream”

A workshop to chill out while improving self-awareness.

This is for anyone artistic or not, Anyone is welcome from any age group.

We start with a breathwork practice to drop everyone into the space, flowing into guided mediation and sound journey ( roughly 30 minutes)

The sound journey consists of Tibetan bowls and didgeridoo. Merging a soundscape with storytelling and instruments, we take participants on an expedition through their minds' vision into a rich forest to receive a ‘gift or symbolic message’. Reaching this prompt of the ‘gift or message’ we gently guide all back to their bodies. Coming back to awareness, we ask everyone to paint what they have received during their meeting with their ‘higher self’.

Painting supplies and A3 paper with painting boards, glass jars with water and painting dishes are then handed around.

(The painting session will close after 30 minutes)

This form of expression will help each participant to have a greater understanding of their inner self and inner voice. When the painting session is completed we will offer tea and a circle of non judgment sharing. All those who wish to share will be held and heard, those who do not will equally be respected in their decision not to.

Meet Kate & Brock

“I’m Kate, I have recently opened an Art therapy business called ‘Brush of balance’.

I started running these workshops to make people more aware of what art therapy actually is, in doing this I fell in love with the process. The process of creating, sharing gifts and tools that allow others to feel held and supported. My aim with my work as an art therapist is to help people with their strugglesand support them in their journey.

Brock, my partner who helps with the workshops and is a huge part of the events, is a talented

musician and a beautiful spiritual man. He is here to support me and also strongly believes that musicand Art is medicine.

We both live on the surfcoast and love this area and the humans that reside here.”
