Yoga and surfing go together like sand and saltwater.
Both disciplines tap into a natural flow.
Yoga puts us in touch with the rhythm of breath, body and movement. Surfing gets us in sync with nature's wave patterns and ocean tides.
In Yoga, we learn not to force the poses, but to find the depth and gentleness in the moment.
In surfing, we learn that we can't force a wave or a set. Nature is in control the whole time. This allows us to practice being fully in the moment and in tune with the current so we can catch those beautiful waves.
Hosted by Bec Thompson, Kat Thompson and Heather Peck:
Our epic Yoga, Surf, Eat event is back on Sunday 24 March, 2024, 8am-12noon @ Ocean Grove. It's perfectly suitable for Yogis and Surfers of all levels.
Here's a snippet of what we've got in store for you at Yoga, Surf, Eat:
First up, the incredible Kat Thompson (also a wonderful surfer) from Zero Point Yoga will guide you through a lush Meditation and Yoga session.
Afterwards, savour a lovingly prepared morning tea from our very own cafe, Two Doors Down. Think warming cacao (aka healthy hot chocolate) and yummy snacks (don't worry, we cater for all dietaries), all the while connecting and chit-chatting.
Next, some serious saltwater F.U.N with a surfing lesson from local legend Heather Peck. Heather's been surf coaching for more than 25 years, so you're in the most excellent, caring and capable hands.
To finish, high fives all round and thank you gift.
Plus, all participants will receive photos from the day.
