Please join Phoebe as she leads a class full of receiving, assisting, deepening and balancing.
Touch in the asana practice has had a lot of contention over the past few years if done in an unsafe way, however research has shown that when given and received in the right way, it can lead to beautiful healing qualities and can deepen your yoga practice!
Phoebe is an experienced teacher and has undergone training specifically in the areas of adjustment and assists. She would love to offer students who request touch an opportunity to recieve it and to feel its benefits when applied properly.
Phoebe will lead this class which will consist of a flow, moving through a series of shapes where touch and assists will be applied to help you to deepen your practice and experience the shapes in a different way! A long shavasana will end the class where you will receive a beautiful gentle massage to help you wind down and move deeper into your body and mind
Consent will be discussed at the start of the class and if you change your mind throughout the class and wish not to be touched, you will be able to communicate this easily.
Yoga assists and touch are not there to change your practice, they do not mean your practice is lacking or wrong, they are there to offer another way to experience the movement in your body. They are an assist, rather than an adjustment.
